Overview
This role supports UK small business clients by preparing and reviewing UK year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, and VAT returns. You will work within a pod of five led by a UK-based Senior Accounts Manager and, after onboarding, review the work of other accountants and a bookkeeper to ensure outputs are correct the first time. Until the manager starts in January, you will work within an existing UK team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end accounts (FRS 102 and 105), corporation tax computations, CT600s, and VAT returns under Making Tax Digital.
- Review the work of other accountants and the bookkeeper in your pod, explain corrections, and help improve accuracy over time.
- Chase clients early for missing records and escalate risks to deadlines in good time.
- Email UK clients directly to request information and clarify what is needed.
- Maintain accurate client records and workflow data so client status is always up to date.
- Use AI tools incorporated into products and workflows, and help shape how they are applied in day-to-day work.

- Confident with Xero, QuickBooks, or a similar cloud accounting package.
- Written English sufficient to email UK clients directly.
