Senior Accountant
Overview
A leading organization in the Business Services sector is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives. This role will enhance business visibility and decision-making by partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Business Services environment.
Location: Remote (US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available)
Compensation: $112,600 – $140,800 annually
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close
- Conduct variance analysis and communicate findings
- Manage bookkeeping and month-end close for international subsidiaries
- Handle intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation
- Prepare and maintain accrual journal entries for the US entity
- Reconcile cash accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies
- Support the annual audit process and identify opportunities for process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or startup environments
- High attention to accuracy and detail
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
- CPA certification
- Experience with NetSuite
- Knowledge of multi-currency accounting and foreign currency translation tools
- Familiarity with SaaS accounting practices
- Experience with financial analysis software such as Tableau or Power BI
