Overview

A leading early childhood education provider is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to collaborate with finance and accounting teams in preparing consolidated budgets and forecasts. This role involves delivering accurate monthly reporting and analysis for Board of Director presentations, supporting external financial reporting, and assisting in long-range financial planning including balance sheet, cash flow modeling, and earnings projections.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, data-driven insights to senior leadership to support visibility and decision-making in a fast-paced environment
  • Support enterprise consolidation of budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Develop and implement models for budgeting, forecasting, earnings projections, and periodic reporting
  • Analyze and model near- and long-term financial results for scenario planning related to P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and critical thinking to solve problems and make recommendations based on self-directed work
  • Handle ad-hoc financial analysis requests as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar financial analyst role within a medium to large multi-unit company
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and developing planning models including capital planning, P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet consolidations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interact effectively with various management levels and build strong working relationships
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial planning concepts
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills

  • Ability to self-validate work and improve deliverables for leadership presentations
  • Eagerness to understand financial performance trends and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Capability to prioritize work independently, escalate conflicts, and collaborate on solutions
