Overview
A private equity-backed consumer services organization is seeking a Senior Analyst for Finance & M&A to serve as its first dedicated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) resource. This role will partner directly with the CFO to build the financial planning and analysis function, develop reporting and forecasting capabilities, support M&A activities, and provide insights to drive informed business decisions. The position offers significant ownership and visibility within a lean, entrepreneurial environment during a period of rapid growth through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.
This is a remote role with travel required for acquisition diligence and integration.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership, board presentations, lenders, and operational performance reviews.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting, and variance analysis by linking financial outcomes to operational performance.
- Manage and maintain the acquisition pipeline by tracking opportunities, updating financial models, and supporting transaction prioritization.
- Support merger and acquisition activities including financial due diligence, valuation modeling, integration tracking, and post-acquisition reporting.
- Design, maintain, and enhance KPI dashboards and financial reporting tools to provide meaningful business insights to leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline reporting processes, improve data integrity, and enhance financial systems and analytics capabilities.
- Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources to develop scalable, reliable, and actionable reports.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and support strategic initiatives for the CFO and senior leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, transaction advisory, or a highly analytical finance role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data and communicate insights effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting information to senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven, capable of excelling in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high-growth environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a private equity-backed, multi-location, or acquisition-focused organization.
- Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, or post-acquisition integration.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting platforms such as Power BI, SQL, or Power Query.
- Progress toward or completion of professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or similar credentials.
- Experience supporting consumer services, multi-site operations, or other service-based businesses.
