Overview
A financial technology platform is seeking a Senior Credit Strategy Analyst to join their Credit team. This role focuses on optimizing credit strategies for personal loans by leveraging data analysis and credit expertise. The position involves maximizing underwriting and loan amount decisions across acquisition channels, driving strategy improvements and innovation, and monitoring champion/challenger test data to maintain investor returns.

Responsibilities
- Monitor, refine, and develop credit strategies including underwriting and loan amount decisions for personal loans
- Design and monitor test/control champion/challenger experiments to inform future credit strategies
- Conduct scenario analyses, financial impact sizing, and develop new strategy test cases
- Perform ad-hoc analytics, create reports, and prepare presentations
- Collaborate across functional areas to drive growth, enhance products, and improve web funnel conversion rates across all channels
- Partner with Decision Science teams to define and develop credit models and tools
- Maintain overall risk and return targets for investors, especially in changing economic environments
Requirements
Development
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar analytical role
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, or other quantitative fields; Master’s degree is a plus
- Experience in the financial industry with a focus on credit risk; experience in online lending, near-prime, or sub-prime lending is advantageous
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages, SQL, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong skills in data interpretation using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques
- Experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Highly independent and self-motivated with the ability to form data-supported opinions
- Strong knowledge of modeling tools and techniques applied to credit strategy
- Ability to understand competitive pressures, economic trends, and their business impacts
- High energy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
