Overview
A business unit within a global organization focused on life sciences and healthcare is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Rohnert Park, CA. This role supports commercial finance activities by partnering with product management and other internal teams to drive profitable growth and financial efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze product lines in collaboration with Operations Finance, Engineering, and Product Managers to identify efficiency opportunities and assess impacts of changing business conditions
- Serve as a business partner and financial advisor to Product Management leadership to help achieve profitability targets
- Collaborate with the broader team to deploy standard analytical tools and reporting for effective business management
- Support Life Cycle Innovation and New Product Innovation teams with financial analysis for business case justification and strategic investments
- Assist Product Management with annual pricing processes and price analytics
- Support forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, and reporting activities as needed
- Lead or participate in special projects and assignments
- Work with the broader Finance team to streamline reporting and processes across the business unit
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline
- Minimum of three years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP systems required; JD Edwards preferred
- Advanced skills in Excel and SAP Web Intelligence; proficiency in OneStream, Power BI, and other Microsoft Office applications preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify needs and implement solutions independently
- Understanding of fundamental financial concepts, practices, and procedures
ITAR/EAR Criteria
Certain positions require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Compensation & Benefits
- Anticipated hiring range: $85,000 - $95,000, varying based on experience and qualifications
- Total compensation range: $97,000 - $145,400, depending on experience
- Eligibility for performance-based bonus plan
