Overview

A natural foods company is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Finance Analyst, Sales Finance to serve as the primary finance business partner to the Sales organization. This role involves ownership of key elements of sales planning, forecasting, customer performance and gross-to-net reporting, and trade investment financial management to drive profitable growth. The Senior Finance Analyst will collaborate closely with Sales, Strategic Revenue Management, Analytics, and FP&A teams to ensure commercial decisions are financially disciplined and aligned with profitability objectives. This position also plays a critical role in implementing a new Trade Promotion Management (TPM) solution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary finance partner to Sales and cross-functional commercial teams to support decision-making and performance management, translating strategy into plans and targets.
  • Manage trade funds end-to-end, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Lead monthly customer business reviews, annual planning, and monthly forecasting of volume and gross-to-net metrics.
  • Ensure financial accuracy of period-end accruals and support month-end reporting and analysis of price, volume, and mix impacts across channels, customers, and product categories.
  • Support deductions and claims visibility, as well as promotional financial tracking within TPM.
  • Build and maintain customer P&Ls at the contribution margin level to enhance commercial decisions and investment prioritization.
  • Support new opportunity analysis, innovation initiatives, customer negotiations, and trade terms through financial modeling, insights, and risk assessment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Sales Finance or FP&A supporting Sales within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Strong expertise in trade spend management, planning and forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders and communicate effectively with executives.
  • Experience supporting Sales organizations and customer-facing commercial teams.
  • Familiarity with TPM tools and advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
