Overview

This role supports a fast-growing organization that operates and manages flexible accommodation properties across multiple cities and countries, combining hospitality, technology, and operations.

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will partner closely with founders and leadership, own critical financial processes, analyze business performance, and help improve profitability as the business scales. This is not a traditional accounting role.

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve day-to-day financial reporting and controls to ensure management reporting is complete, validated, and fully supported.
  • Identify manual and repetitive finance processes, design more efficient workflows, and partner with engineering to automate them.
  • Reconcile payments from Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, direct bookings, and other distribution channels, ensuring expected payments are received accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and incoming payments, ensuring expected funds are received, accurately recorded, and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Track accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Review supplier invoices and company expenses.
  • Manage statutory filings and corporate compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and on-time submission.
  • Work with external accountants, tax advisers, auditors, and banking partners to maintain accurate accounting records and timely compliance.
  • Support landlord and property-owner financial statements where required.
  • Build dashboards and reporting systems to provide management with real-time performance visibility.
  • Analyze financial performance by property, city, country, and business unit.
  • Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Monitor cash flow and help plan future capital requirements.
  • Identify financial risks and potential revenue leakage.
  • Analyze costs and identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Partner with operations teams to understand and reduce property-level costs.
  • Support financial due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and new market launches.
  • Present insights and recommendations directly to founders and the management team.

Requirements

  • Highly analytical with strong comfort working with numbers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of financial and operational data.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Strong reconciliation, financial control, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial mindset: ability to understand what the numbers mean for the business.
  • High level of ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable working independently and figuring things out.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with senior management.
  • Passion for technology, automation, and AI, including identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes.
  • Ambitious with an interest in taking on significantly more responsibility over time.
  • Experience in accounting, audit, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, consulting, hospitality, real estate, or a high-growth startup is highly valued.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related analytical field is preferred (exceptional candidates from other backgrounds are encouraged to apply).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across finance functions such as accounting, audit, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, or consulting.
  • Background in hospitality, real estate, or a high-growth startup.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

  • Developed a strong understanding of the financial performance of every part of the business.
  • Created reliable monthly management reporting across the organization.
  • Ensured booking-platform and partner payments are accurately reconciled and expected funds are received.
  • Improved visibility into cash flow, profitability, and unit economics.

  • Automated several previously manual finance processes.

  • Taken ownership of increasingly important parts of the finance function.

You Should Not Apply If

  • You want a corporate 9-to-5 role with narrowly defined responsibilities.
  • You need someone to constantly tell you what to do.
  • You are uncomfortable being held accountable for your work.
  • You prefer reporting numbers rather than understanding and improving them.
  • You enjoy gossiping or talking about people behind their backs.
  • You are looking for a stable, slow-moving, dead-end job.
  • You do not aim to become one of the best at what you do.
