Overview
The organization is building flexible accommodation across multiple cities and countries, combining hospitality, technology, and operations to make renting a home as simple as booking a hotel.
As the business scales internationally, it is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to help build the financial infrastructure behind a fast-growing global operation. This role is focused on financial analysis, reporting, controls, and scalable finance processes—not traditional accounting alone.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve day-to-day financial reporting and controls, ensuring figures presented to management are complete, validated, and fully supported.
- Identify manual and repetitive finance processes; design more efficient workflows and partner with engineering teams to automate them.
- Reconcile payments from Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, direct bookings, and other distribution channels; ensure expected payments are received accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank accounts and incoming payments; ensure expected funds are received, accurately recorded, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Track accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Review supplier invoices and company expenses.
- Manage statutory filings and corporate compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and on-time submissions.
- Work with external accountants, tax advisers, auditors, and banking partners to maintain accurate accounting records and timely compliance.
- Support landlord and property-owner financial statements where required.
- Build dashboards and reporting systems to provide management with real-time visibility into performance.
- Analyze financial performance by property, city, country, and business unit.
- Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Monitor cash flow and help plan future capital requirements.
- Identify financial risks and potential revenue leakage.
- Analyze costs and identify opportunities to improve margins.
- Partner with operations teams to understand and reduce property-level costs.
- Support financial due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and new market launches.
- Present insights and recommendations directly to the founders and management team.

- Commercial mindset—understands and interprets numbers to drive business decisions.
- High level of ownership and accountability.
- Comfortable working independently and figuring things out.
- Able to operate in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating directly with senior management.
- Passion for technology, automation, and AI, with an ability to identify opportunities to improve and automate finance processes.
- Ambitious and looking to take on significantly more responsibility over time.
- Experience in accounting, audit, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, consulting, hospitality, real estate, or a high-growth startup is highly valued.

Not a Fit If

- You need someone to constantly tell you what to do.
- You are uncomfortable being held accountable for your work.
- You prefer reporting numbers rather than understanding and improving them.
- You enjoy gossiping or talking about people behind their backs.
- You are looking for a stable, slow-moving, dead-end job.
- You do not aim to become one of the best in your field.
