Senior Finance Operations Manager

This role supports an organization focused on community empowerment and civic engagement, with work centered on addressing systemic inequities through effective community leadership.

The Senior Finance Operations Manager is critical to accurate, compliant financial operations. The position manages billing, collections, sales tax compliance, reconciliations, and month-end close activities, while also supporting planning, analysis, and reporting that inform leadership decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, revenue, and deferred revenue reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and issue customer and partner billing; monitor collections.
• Support month-end close through journal entries and coordination.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee sales and use tax filings and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with annual budget and rolling forecast cycles.
• Prepare and distribute monthly budget variance analyses.
• Maintain and improve financial dashboards and reporting tools.
• Build and update financial models for strategic decision-making.
• Lead partisan electioneering spend analysis for compliance.
• Track grant expenses and prepare financial grant reports.
• Support audit preparations and tax filing processes.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate payroll allocations.
• Maintain data integrity across financial systems.

Requirements

• Strong accounting fundamentals and experience in financial operations.
• Proficiency in billing, collections, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis.
• Ability to manage month-end close processes.
• Skilled in maintaining financial systems and data integrity.
• Detail-oriented and process-driven with sound judgment.
