Overview
A company specializing in maintenance operations software is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. This role involves serving as a key analytical and strategic partner across the business, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. The organization provides a comprehensive CMMS platform designed to optimize asset performance and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Financial Modeling
- Own and maintain the integrated three-statement financial model (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), ensuring it remains current, accurate, and useful for decision-making.
- Build and refine scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic planning, fundraising, and board-level discussions.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and maintain rolling forecasts in partnership with the VP of Finance.
- Track actual results versus plan, identify variances, and provide insights to inform corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting headcount planning, go-to-market investments, and operational efficiency.
- Support procurement and manage the finance approval process.
Unit Economics & KPI Analytics
- Own the organization’s core SaaS metrics, ensuring reliable tracking and reporting.
- Build dashboards and reporting frameworks to provide leadership with real-time visibility into business health.
Business Partnering
- Act as the embedded finance partner for key department heads across G&A and Product teams.
- Assist functional leaders in budget management, ROI evaluation on initiatives, and data-driven investment decisions.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance at a high-growth company.
- Exceptional financial modeling skills, including the ability to build a clean, dynamic three-statement model from scratch.
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and their drivers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret numbers and provide actionable insights.
- Clear and confident communication skills, capable of presenting financial findings to non-finance audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or BI tools is a plus.
- Genuine interest in AI applications in finance, whether through prior experience building AI-assisted tools or eagerness to explore AI as a productivity enhancer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; CFA or MBA is a plus but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000
