Overview
This role involves working within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to develop financial forecasts, key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reporting that support strategic decision-making and business growth. The position reports to the Senior Manager of FP&A and requires collaboration across departments to optimize resource allocation and identify growth opportunities.
This is a remote position; candidates must reside and be authorized to work within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business cases to provide actionable insights for leadership.
- Analyze historical and current financial data to develop accurate forecasts and report on key metrics.
- Optimize and implement financial processes and tools, focusing on operating expense management, including improving budget vs actual models, streamlining monthly distributions, incorporating department feedback, and partnering with accounting on month-end close processes.
- Develop strong partnerships across the organization by providing performance visibility, understanding partner goals, and acting as a subject matter expert on operating expenses.
- Provide financial support for ad-hoc and recurring events such as senior leadership meetings, all-hands meetings, board presentations, quarterly business reviews, price and promotion analysis, and other high-level meetings.
- Identify and implement AI-driven tools and workflows to streamline FP&A processes, improve forecast accuracy, automate routine analyses, and deliver faster, actionable financial insights.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant financial experience, with emphasis on operating expense management and budget compliance.
- Strong financial modeling and communication skills to effectively convey business insights.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting and understanding of all financial statements.
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets, with experience building operating expense actuals vs budget from raw financial data.
- Experience with Planful or similar financial planning and analysis systems (e.g., Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, Vena, Hyperion, SAP).
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Looker is a plus.
- Proficiency with SQL-based systems and data tools for extracting insights and supporting business decisions.
- Demonstrated experience building and leveraging AI tools (such as large language models, automation platforms, or AI-powered analytics) to enhance FP&A functions including forecasting, variance analysis, scenario modeling, and financial reporting.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to create and deliver executive-level content.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Experience in process development and improvement with a desire to drive change.
- High integrity and accountability.
- Start-up experience and ability to work autonomously in a high-growth environment are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000, with consideration of background, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
