Overview

A managed services provider specializing in IT, print, and hardware services with a focus on security is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The organization serves businesses across the financial, manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare industries throughout the continental United States and Canada. This is a remote, work-from-home position available to qualified candidates in the continental U.S., excluding Colorado, California, Washington, Maryland, Hawaii, New York, Maine, Illinois, and New Jersey.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting

  • Manage and administer the Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) system (NetSuite Planning and Budgeting NSPB).
  • Support the creation of financial forecasts and budgets for all major forecasting and budgeting cycles.
  • Develop report templates to support management and FPA staff analysis requirements.

Management & External Reporting

  • Produce multiple internal and external reporting packages.
  • Prepare reports and analyze trends in Profit & Loss results and business metrics compared to expectations.
  • Support the Accounting department during close periods to ensure data integrity.
  • Manage monthly consolidated headcount reporting.
  • Create and maintain reporting hierarchies for financial systems including NetSuite, NSPB, and Smart View.
  • Provide supporting schedules for external reporting such as Monthly Management Review and Lender reporting.
  • Distribute financials to the Accounting/Finance team during the accounting close process.
  • Support ad hoc report requests from the Board of Directors and internal management team.

Business Support

  • Provide business support to executives and various departments including Finance, HR, Legal, and IT.

Business and Reporting Process Improvement

  • Create, audit, and update documentation related to business and reporting processes.
  • Utilize modern reporting tools (NSPB, PowerQuery, PowerBI) and AI technologies (Claude and CoPilot) to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Billing, and IT teams to evaluate and improve business processes for better reporting and analysis outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, planning, and financial modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite), financial planning systems (NSPB), financial reporting systems (NSPB and Smart View), and sales and marketing systems (HubSpot, Service Now, ConnectWise).
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to clearly communicate financial analysis to non-financial business partners.
  • Experience handling confidential data and information.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proactive, future-oriented, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of work.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including collaboration with other business groups.
  • Ability to develop positive and professional relationships across organizational boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
