Senior Financial Analyst - Remote US

Overview

A leading oncology research organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support Clinical Research Operations from a financial perspective. This fully remote position based in the U.S. involves budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting to provide insightful financial advice that supports advancing oncology treatments.

Responsibilities

• Develop departmental budgets and perform variance analyses using historical data and predictive techniques
• Provide expertise in cost management, budgeting, and month-end financial analysis
• Analyze variances to standards and identify root causes
• Interpret historical trends to predict future performance based on cause-and-effect relationships
• Create forecasting models with variance analyses and recommendations
• Prepare the Monthly Operating Report for executive management, including data support and root cause analysis
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Financial Analyst in pharmaceutical, clinical research, healthcare, or medical device industries
• Knowledge of business models and performance metrics related to healthcare or clinical research
• Advanced understanding of financial and accounting concepts within the healthcare industry
• Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experienced with data extraction and analysis software
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively
• Analytical mindset with curiosity about cause and effect, capable of developing models and drawing insightful conclusions from data
