Overview
A leading provider of data center cooling solutions is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support its financial reporting and analysis functions. This role is essential for delivering timely and accurate financial insights to drive profitable growth and operational efficiency. The position involves collaboration with local controllers, manufacturing sites, and finance leadership teams to support core FP&A activities including month-end reporting and forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Support finance leadership and business teams by building financial models and presenting data for monthly business reviews.
- Clean and analyze operational data; collaborate on Power BI reporting to enhance visibility for operations teams.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management distribution.
- Translate data into actionable insights; provide training and support to site users on tool utilization.
- Partner with functional and plant leaders to perform material variance analysis.
- Prepare and coordinate key inputs for annual planning and quarterly forecast updates.
- Develop ad hoc models and analyses related to product profitability, material costs, and SG&A expenses.
- Identify and implement process improvements through standardization and automated reporting.
- Manage inventory reporting and materials management process improvements.
- Conduct special projects and ad hoc analyses to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, analytics, and model building.
- Strong understanding of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow measures, and their interrelationships.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial analysis, and forecasting.
- High attention to detail with the ability to reconcile complex data sets ensuring reports align with source data.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to present complex data simply and effectively.
- Ability to navigate system limitations to create value-added reports.
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills; capable of coordinating across multiple plants.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with Syteline or SAP ERP systems.
- Experience using Planful software.
- Background in cost accounting and standard costing within a manufacturing environment.
