Overview

This fully remote position is open to candidates based in the UK and the following US states: Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in interpreting, translating, and communicating complex financial data to internal stakeholders. This role involves driving annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring key financial metrics, providing variance analysis, and identifying cost savings and efficiency opportunities. The analyst will act as a business partner to teams across the organization, collaborating closely with stakeholders to gather information for budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Oversight and support from FP&A leadership will ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

This position requires a self-starter capable of managing regular workload alongside ad hoc requests without compromising analytical accuracy. Flexibility is essential to balance recurring responsibilities with evolving business needs during a period of significant organizational transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform actual-to-budget variance analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Lead and collaborate with stakeholders in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise financial dashboards and commentary for executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements.
  • Build and maintain financial models and support scenario planning.
  • Ensure the highest level of accuracy and data integrity in all reports, dashboards, and commentaries.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to gather and validate financial and operational information supporting budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of FP&A principles including financial planning, rolling forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Accounting literacy with knowledge of GAAP, general ledger structures, and financial statement preparation.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with budgeting systems such as Netsuite Planning and Budgeting, Anaplan, or Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Proven judgment and prioritization skills, including handling confidential data with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Interest in learning about AI and its application in daily work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance, or Accounting.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Some national and international travel may be required.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range (US): $85,000 - $95,000.
