Senior Financial Controller

Overview

The organization is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to build and own financial controlling from the ground up. The role supports operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions, with responsibilities spanning financial process design, accurate accounting operations, timely reporting, and robust financial controls.

This opportunity is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations for multiple entities across different jurisdictions, including monthly financial reporting
• Supervise day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely closing
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls across all entities
• Manage cost control and own the budget approval process
• Design finance control processes, then continuously optimize them for greater efficiency and scalability
• Prepare and review consolidated monthly management reports in partnership with the Head of Finance
• Prepare and review regulatory reports in collaboration with external advisors
• Train and mentor junior finance specialists
• Coordinate external audits and act as the main point of contact for auditors
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
• Respond promptly to finance-related questions and requests from the CEO and wider team

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in financial control, finance and accounting, or treasury
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading junior finance associates
• Comfortable working fully remote
• English — advanced or fluent
• Work experience in BIG-4 (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPGM)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fast learner; comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage external consultants and legal advisors effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish or Russian or Ukrainian language speaking skills
