Overview

A North America-based organization is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Manager to join their FP&A team. This role involves full ownership of the enterprise performance management (EPM) platform, acting as the primary liaison between Finance and the Data Office, IT, and other business systems related to financial planning infrastructure. The successful candidate will be the technical owner of the planning system Pigment, responsible for its architecture, integrations, and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Pigment system end-to-end, including data models, calculation logic, dimensional structure, security and access design, version control, and release management.
  • Make architectural decisions that shape the financial planning processes for the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Data Office on upstream data quality, source system integrations, and dimensional standards across ERP, EPM, and BI systems.
  • Ensure data integrity across systems such as BigQuery, NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Looker, and Pigment.
  • Define technical standards for the Pigment environment by creating robust modeling guidelines, scalable patterns, and best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and targeted training programs to enhance FP&A team proficiency.
  • Work closely with FP&A leadership and senior partners in Finance and Data to translate business requirements into technical platform solutions.
  • Influence the long-term roadmap and methodology for financial planning systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with EPM platforms, with deep ownership of at least one such as Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive Planning.
  • Proven track record of leading or anchoring an EPM implementation through go-live.
  • Deep expertise in EPM data modeling, including dimensional design, calculation logic, allocations, security architecture, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of finance source systems and data flows across ERP, data warehouse, and BI.
  • Direct experience with BigQuery, NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, or Looker is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in SQL for diagnosing upstream data issues; Python or scripting experience is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of SOX compliance and its implications for financial systems, access reviews, and change management.
  • Practical experience using AI tools such as large language models, copilots, and automation in daily workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, internal IT, and Data Office partners to make complex technical decisions.
  • Strong skills in writing clear specifications, requirements documents, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to explain technical tradeoffs to senior finance leaders in an accessible manner.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across Data, Accounting, IT, and business teams.
  • Structural thinking with the ability to balance quick workarounds and proper design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SaaS and payments business mechanics.
  • Pigment Certified Modeler certification or equivalent platform credential.
  • Experience in a public company finance environment.
  • Experience supporting a system migration end-to-end.
  • FP&A background with experience building or supporting revenue models, expense forecasts, headcount plans, or unit economics frameworks.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 USD, depending on candidate location within the United States.

Note: Salary information applies to candidates hired to perform work within the United States and may vary based on actual location. Part-time salaries will be prorated accordingly.
