Overview

A fast-growing education technology organization is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join a lean, dynamic Finance team. This role is integral to the business, responsible for owning core financial planning processes, enhancing data quality, and delivering actionable insights to support company-wide decision-making. The position involves building a scalable FP&A function encompassing forecasting, scenario planning, KPI development, and go-to-market analytics.

Preference for candidates based in the Eastern Time zone or those able to work Eastern Time hours.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the corporate operating model, ensuring alignment across bookings, revenue, and cash flow
  • Manage the company’s cash flow forecast and liquidity planning with clear visibility into drivers and risks
  • Lead the rolling forecast process, including monthly budget versus actual analysis and clear communication of drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain scenario analyses to support strategic decisions such as growth, hiring, pricing, and cost structure
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Revenue Operations teams to improve pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and overall go-to-market performance
  • Translate pipeline, bookings, and customer data into actionable insights to inform forecasts and operating decisions
  • Define, track, and continuously improve KPIs and dashboards across the business
  • Support the monthly close process in partnership with Accounting to ensure consistency between actuals and forecast inputs
  • Assist with commission modeling, plan validation, and payout accuracy
  • Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance forecasting speed, quality, and scalability
  • Deliver high-quality ad hoc analyses to support leadership and Board-level discussions

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related fields (investment banking or consulting backgrounds welcome)
  • Advanced Excel skills, capable of building and maintaining complex, driver-based financial models from scratch
  • Proven experience owning forecasting processes including operating models, cash flow, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning
  • Strong understanding of pipeline and bookings data with the ability to translate into actionable forecasts
  • Experience partnering with Sales and Revenue Operations to improve forecasting rigor and data quality
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and analysis
  • NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience in a high-growth technology environment is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to connect insights across the business
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with a bias toward action and ownership

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $128,000 - $152,000 USD or $110,000 - $132,000 CAD, plus equity
  • Final offer depends on geographic location, experience, and other factors
