Overview
A company specializing in family safety and location technology is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting. The organization provides mobile applications and tracking devices aimed at protecting people, pets, and belongings. It serves nearly 98 million monthly active users globally and supports a remote-first workforce of over 500 employees.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and review of SEC filings and investor communications in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Maintain GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and SOX control documentation
- Prepare internal financial reporting packages and analyses for management and board
- Manage month-end close processes for technical accounting areas
- Develop technical accounting memorandums and provide U.S. GAAP guidance
- Update internal control documentation and support SOX compliance efforts
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage audit processes
- Collaborate with legal, accounting, tax, finance, and investor relations teams on reporting matters
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of four accounting professionals
- Support special projects as needed
Requirements
- Over 10 years of financial reporting experience; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
- CPA or equivalent professional designation required
- More than 4 years of people management experience with a focus on team development
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules, and SOX 404 compliance
- Experience leading SEC filings and quarter-end close in public companies
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range for U.S.-based candidates: $110,000 to $161,500, depending on experience and skills
