Overview
This hands-on Senior Manager, FP&A role reports to the CFO and leads how the organization plans, forecasts, and explains topline performance. You will own the revenue model day to day, run the weekly billings forecast, build the annual operating plan by product, and translate product and sales data into clear analysis that supports the CFO, executive team, and Board.
Responsibilities
Board & executive reporting
- Prepare the topline and KPI sections of the monthly operating review and quarterly Board materials for CFO review.
- Build and maintain a product-level KPI scorecard, including:
- a trimmed view for monthly reviews
- a detailed view for the Board
- Lead variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year, providing clear explanations of what drove each gap.
- Respond quickly and accurately to CFO and executive data requests.
Planning systems & data
- Serve as FP&A’s day-to-day lead for planning system work (currently Planful), including:
- requirements gathering
- data validation
- revenue and allocation models
- user training
- Partner with Data and IT to bring Snowflake and NetSuite data into planning and reporting, ensuring clean, reconciled feeds.
- Replace manual spreadsheets with repeatable, automated reporting.
- Document models, planning calendars, and controls so knowledge does not rely on a single person.
Business partnership
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and product teams on their numbers; test assumptions behind key forecasts.
- Support investment cases for marketing campaigns, product launches, and headcount decisions, including ROI and payback analysis.
- Work with Accounting on close timing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and accrual accuracy.
Growth path
- Senior individual contributor role with a path to Director as scope grows.
- Act as backup on critical models and processes across FP&A.
- Support ad-hoc projects such as audits, cost programs, and M&A analysis.

- Track record of building AI-assisted workflows that saved real time or improved quality. Be ready to show 2–3 examples.
- Strong judgment around AI limitations: verify outputs, tie results back to source data, and know when not to use AI.
- Expert financial modeling in Excel; comfortable with large, linked, driver-based models.
- Strong understanding of billings vs. revenue, deferred revenue, and software revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Clear written and spoken communication, including presenting to senior leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
