Senior Market Accountant

Overview

This role supports month-end close and financial analysis for facility operations. Responsibilities include preparing manual journal entries, maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts, performing reconciliations, and partnering with facility and field stakeholders to resolve variances and outstanding items.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close procedures, including preparing and recording manual journal entries
• Analyze facility-level financial statements and provide insight relative to financial results
• Proactively communicate monthly financial results with facility and field stakeholders, particularly unusual variances and trends, and partner on resolution of identified items
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and partner with key stakeholders on resolution of outstanding items
• Prepare partnership distributions
• Train and mentor market accountants and experienced market accountants to ensure appropriate development and coaching
• Review work product of market accountants and experienced accountants and provide effective feedback as appropriate
• Use independent judgment and analytical skills to resolve field/home-office inquiries
• Assist and drive team and organizational initiatives
• Exhibit leadership through coaching, critical self-review, motivation, self-confidence, and self-discipline

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or finance required
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and statistical skills
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to interact with all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA preferred

• Salary: USD $86,453.00/Yr. to USD $95,862.00/Yr.
