Overview
This role is responsible for owning billing, collections, and reconciliation end-to-end, and for leading the transition to a new accounting system that will support that work going forward. You will also build automation and reporting to turn a manual, spreadsheet-based billing process into a scalable system, and serve as the primary resource for questions about how billing is performing.
Responsibilities
- Own billing, collections, and reconciliation end-to-end, serving as the single point of contact for service teams’ billing questions
- Lead the new billing module implementation from scoping through go-live
- Build billing automation on top of the new system, covering the majority of revenue categories and reducing manual, spreadsheet-based work
- Establish consistent, enforced overdue invoice tracking and drive a visible reduction in aged AR, along with a live, self-updating view of invoiced/collected/charged/delta for leadership
- Surface and help solve structural problems the migration exposes (e.g., reconciliation across entities or revenue types) and propose approaches to manage them
Requirements
- Ability to fully map how each revenue type is calculated, billed, and reconciled today, including manual breakpoints, and redesign the process (not just operate it)
- Experience owning a system implementation or migration end-to-end (scoping, sequencing, executing), not only working within a finance system built by others
- Track record of building repeatable, automated processes from manual or spreadsheet-heavy foundations
- Comfort operating with real autonomy and ambiguity; success depends on knowing when to act independently and when to escalate to Finance or leadership
- Strong cross-functional collaboration instincts, especially with Finance on month-end close and with service teams on their specific billing needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Range: $115,175 - $155,825
Location
Remote-first team (global and remote-based).
