Overview

This role involves expanding and updating Continuing Professional Education (CPE) tax curriculum content, including developing new courses and maintaining existing materials. The position supports the delivery of high-quality tax education programs for accounting professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new content and maintain existing tax course materials
  • Monitor developments in the tax profession and plan content updates based on current events and new pronouncements
  • Write and review various question types (multiple choice, simulation, essay)
  • Track course content development progress and report regularly to management
  • Provide guidance to production teams on content design, including tables, graphics, and images
  • Collaborate with and respond to inquiries from cross-functional teams
  • Review course content developed by subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Coordinate projects and timelines for SME-developed content
  • Train SMEs on course templates and learning platforms
  • Apply instructional design principles in content and course development
  • Assist with instructional design using proprietary design templates
  • Maintain a library of current tax pronouncements, law changes, and exposure drafts; inform SMEs of updates to ensure content currency
  • Review and critique learning platforms and tools
  • Communicate effectively with SMEs and cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, or accounting
  • CPA and/or CMA credential required; CPA or dual CPA/CMA preferred
  • Master’s degree with 2+ years of content development experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of expertise in taxation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and resource management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with project management tracking tools
