Overview

An established, publicly-traded technology company is seeking a Tax Senior to join their US Income Tax team. This role reports to the US Tax Manager and involves assisting with tax provision, compliance, and other tax-related matters. The ideal candidate is eager to contribute and learn, enjoys working with technology, refining processes, and supporting employees across a global organization.

The organization offers flexible work arrangements, allowing employees to work from an office, home, or a combination of both. Hiring is open to candidates in any country where the company has a legal entity.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and annual US federal and state income tax provisions and audited financial statements for a publicly-traded corporation.
  • Gather information and prepare workpapers for US income tax returns prepared by external advisors.
  • Utilize technology, including AI, to support continuous process improvement.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and prepare analyses and recommendations.
  • Communicate with federal and state tax authorities to resolve tax matters.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or in-house corporate tax team.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in taxation preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent license required.
  • Understanding of ASC 740 and income tax accounting concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with an interest in process improvement and automation.
  • Experience with ERP software, tax provision, and/or tax compliance software is a plus.
