Overview
The organization is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Program Finance team. This role supports multiple programs and can be based in the Palo Alto, CA office or remotely within the US.
This position partners with Program Managers, CAMs, the CFO, and senior executives to plan the business and allocate budget and resources for satellite programs and other strategic R&D initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee program spend in collaboration with Program Managers and CAMs, including cost of sales, R&D expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Perform monthly variance analysis for these costs to identify program risks and opportunities.
- Review weekly labor and non-labor expenses and provide expense metrics to the program team.
- Track monthly spend against forecasts, flagging issues and helping CAMs identify trade-offs to keep spend within budget.
- Provide cost analysis in support of contract change orders for assigned programs.
- Lead monthly reviews for program financial forecasting and maintain accurate forecasts.
- Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes and monthly/quarterly financial cycles.
- Provide ad hoc financial modeling and financial analysis.
- Support special projects and process improvements within Finance.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics; four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, with at least 4 years in a Financial Analyst role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP/Tableau/Alteryx.
- Superior analytical skills, strong business judgment, and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management-level personnel.
- Master level skills with Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to work well under pressure as an active team player.
- Organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multitask and maintain accuracy.
- Integrity with confidential information.
- Creativity in solving complex problems.
- Ability to work independently in support of team objectives.
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay (annual) by location:
- Colorado: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00
- New Jersey: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00
- Delaware: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00
- Washington, DC metropolitan area: $83,000.00 - $139,000.00
- California: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00
For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges.
