Sr. Project Control Specialist (Remote)

Overview

This position is a Sr. Project Control Specialist (Remote). The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining cost control for one or more larger projects.

Responsibilities

• Interface daily with program managers, finance, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, procurement organizations, and external customers to address operational and financial requests in a timely and effective manner.
• Prepare monthly financial deliverables for assigned projects.
• Monitor and analyze program costs and perform financial analysis for labor, travel, material, subcontract, and ODC estimates against budget and forecast.
• Maintain accurate project forecasts and Estimates At Complete (EAC) for both internal and external reporting.
• Participate in quarterly forecasting and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development.
• Support preparation and distribution of financial information and analysis within required deadlines; ensure outputs are concise, relevant, and understandable to support program management and operations leadership.
• Monitor subcontractor hours and cost; review subcontractor invoices. Experience with subcontractors charging in Prime’s timekeeping system preferred.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activity for monthly tracking and reconciliation; understand accurate material forecasting and purchase order vouchers and commitments.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, government regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent) and 5–8 years of related work experience.
• Mandatory experience dealing with various contract types, including:
  • firm-fixed-price
  • fixed-price with economic price adjustment
  • fixed-price incentive
  • cost reimbursement
  • cost sharing
  • cost-plus-incentive-fee
  • cost-plus-award-fee
  • cost-plus-fixed-fee
  • time and material
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to effectively support multiple programs and functional leads simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced use of MS Excel.
• Experience with Deltek Cospoint.
• Experience with Unanet.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated commitment to precision and accuracy.

• Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
