Staff Accountant

Overview

Staff Accountant position available with a remote work arrangement. Candidates must be located on the East Coast of the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 USD

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive the monthly close process to meet deadlines and improve accuracy
• Perform accounts reconciliation, maintain balance sheet schedules, and handle bookkeeping tasks
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor budgets, communicate variances, and enforce financial discipline
• Develop operational redundancy and provide support for the accounting team, including cross-training key team members
• Maintain clean and precise financial records and documentation to ensure audit readiness and support strategic planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting from a US-accredited institution
• Two to five years of direct accounting experience, including hands-on month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial operations support
• Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry or a similar sector
• Trade Expense experience is highly desirable
• Authorization to work in the US and willingness to work an East Coast schedule
