Overview
This role supports the organization’s finance function, focusing on accurate financial management, reporting, and compliance. The Staff Accountant manages complex accounting activities to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting reporting and compliance processes while analyzing financial data and resolving escalated operational issues.
Responsibilities
- Confirm the accurate consolidation of entries, transactions, and accounts within financial statements.
- Advise management on trends, developments, and changes in financial reporting requirements.
- Recommend appropriate approaches for adapting accounting and reporting processes to regulatory or organizational changes.
- Resolve escalated operational issues requiring coordination across multiple departments.
- Analyze financial information from multiple systems and sources to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Collaborate with team members and provide guidance without direct supervisory responsibility.
- Support financial reporting, accounting, and compliance activities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
- Ability to work across multiple systems and synthesize data from diverse sources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear and actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail, independent judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in a remote work environment.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual compensation range: $80,000–$100,000.
