Staff Accountant

Overview

Compensation for this role ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 annually, plus a 10% discretionary bonus. This is a fully remote position available to candidates located in the Tri-State area.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive the monthly close process to meet deadlines and enhance accuracy
• Perform hands-on support including account reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and bookkeeping
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor budgets, communicate variances, and promote financial discipline
• Develop operational redundancies and provide cross-training to support the accounting team
• Maintain clean and precise financial records and documentation to ensure audit readiness and support strategic planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting from a US-accredited institution
• Two to five years of direct accounting experience, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial operations support
• Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry or a similar sector
• Trade Expense experience is highly desirable
• Authorization to work in the US and availability to work an East Coast schedule
