Overview

A growing company specializing in clinically tested hair wellness products is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Accounting team. This role focuses on supporting the month-end close process for operating expenses, performing day-to-day accounting activities, and assisting with accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries related to operating expenses
Manage reconciliation schedules for accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
Support month-end and year-end closing tasks, including ad-hoc projects and reporting
Perform cross-departmental reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency
Assist with month-end flux analysis commentary for Balance Sheet and P&L statements
Categorize daily operating bank account transactions and perform balance sheet reconciliations of cash accounts
Assist with vendor inquiries and communication related to accounts payable
Provide supporting evidence for audit requests and assist with ad hoc requests

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or retail environment; experience in a start-up, high-growth eCommerce, or CPG business is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics D365; experience with ExFlow and/or Concur is advantageous
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word; proficiency with Google Suite
Strong oral and written communication skills
Passion for accounting operations and willingness to support the team as needed
