Overview
A rapidly expanding global technology organization supporting complex infrastructure and AI workloads is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant CPA to oversee day-to-day financial operations. This role is critical for building structure, improving accuracy, and driving efficiency across the growing financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage all general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, preparing timely and accurate financial statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions including billing, collections, vendor payments, and expense reporting.
- Maintain bank and balance sheet reconciliations for all key accounts across global entities.
- Support revenue recognition and cost allocation related to infrastructure operations, datacenter leases, and hardware expenditures.
- Streamline accounting workflows and introduce automation to enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls; coordinate with tax and audit partners as needed.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to align financial processes with operational needs.
- Maintain clear documentation and assist in preparing management reports and audit support schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar credential preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in fast-paced or scaling organizations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
- Experience with multi-entity or international accounting is a plus.
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently in a distributed team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
