Overview

This role supports the Investor Analytics function, which helps institutional capital partners understand and price the organization’s credit performance. Work spans Capital Markets, Lending Partnerships, Machine Learning, Product, and Finance, with a current priority of establishing the credit foundation for HELOC as the organization expands capital raising.

As a Staff Analyst, Investor Analytics, you will own the credit and performance narrative for the HELOC business end to end—building performance data, automated monitoring, and recurring reporting to explain how the book is performing and what it implies for forward risk.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Capital Markets and Lending Partnerships to engage with capital investors, showcase platform strength, build confidence, and develop tailored capital solutions for the home equity program.
  • Own the credit performance narrative for the HELOC portfolio, including arrears and roll rates, vintage and cohort loss curves, model calibration, and feature importance.
  • Produce recurring performance reporting for investors and internal stakeholders, including yield, default, and prepayment views, on a reliable cadence.
  • Build credit intelligence infrastructure with AI by developing foundational financial models, data pipelines, and automated monitoring behind credit reporting.
  • Collaborate across Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, and Finance to shape credit metrics, craft narratives, and develop financial forecasts for HELOC.
  • Mentor and elevate junior team members by supporting excellence in data, credit, and analytics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in financial services with a focus on credit and debt (consumer or structured credit, private credit, structured products, securitization, or credit capital markets), including hands-on work with loan portfolio performance and credit risk.
  • Credit analytics experience with hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL, and the ability to analyze and explain portfolio credit performance (delinquency and arrears, roll rates, vintage loss curves, and model calibration).
  • Data-driven decision-making experience working with large datasets, data modeling, and building robust data pipelines, including tools such as Databricks, Redshift, DBT, and business intelligence tools.
  • Quantitative academic foundation: degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or another quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven cross-functional collaboration experience, particularly with Finance, Product, Data Engineering, and Machine Learning.
  • Executive-level storytelling skills, including translating complex insights into executive-ready narratives using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Familiarity with HELOC, home equity, or mortgage credit, including collateral valuation, lien position, CLTV, and property-level risk drivers.
  • Financial modeling and deal analytics experience, such as lending cash flows, book-level profitability, or valuation to support pricing, structuring, or deal strategy; familiarity with consumer credit capital markets, private credit, or structured products.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted development using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar to build and maintain analytics pipelines and automate reporting.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate model performance, including calibration, feature importance, score-to-outcome alignment, and population drift, and to translate findings for audiences without a modeling background.
