Overview

A Strategic Finance Analyst, Product Finance is needed to join the Strategic Finance team supporting Ads and Enterprise SaaS business units. This role involves partnering on critical initiatives, building business cases and P&L models, and translating insights into decisions that drive business growth. The position requires close collaboration with Ads Product, Carrot Ads, and the enterprise SaaS team to connect strategy to financial outcomes, prioritize initiatives, and deliver executive-ready narratives.

Responsibilities

  • Own key portions of Ads revenue initiatives including planning, forecasting, deal approvals, and resource investments.
  • Partner with Ads Product, Carrot Ads, and enterprise SaaS teams to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes and recommend revenue-driving actions.
  • Design and implement financial processes and dashboards leveraging internal data and KPIs to monitor performance, surface insights, and automate recurring reporting.
  • Build monthly and quarterly performance materials for leadership, including forecast updates, variance analyses, and board/investor review materials.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and deep dives on initiatives such as SaaS performance, pricing and packaging, cohort performance, and attribution; utilize SQL for data analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in strategic finance at a high-growth technology company, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including driver-based financial models, cohort analyses, and scenario/sensitivity modeling.
  • Experience building revenue forecasts and translating KPIs into financial outcomes for an operating business.
  • Proven ability to create executive-ready materials and present insights to cross-functional and senior audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate SQL skills (e.g., joins, window functions) and experience working with large datasets; familiarity with Looker or Tableau.
  • Experience in digital advertising, ad tech, e-commerce media, or SaaS monetization models.
  • Experience preparing materials for board and investor audiences.
  • Ability to support West Coast business hours in a distributed, remote environment.
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-changing environments with a collaborative, low-ego approach.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Highly competitive compensation and benefits based on permanent work location.
  • Base pay ranges for U.S. candidates:
    • CA, NY, CT, NJ: $130,000–$137,000 USD
    • WA: $124,000–$131,000 USD
    • OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $119,000–$125,500 USD
    • All other states: $108,000–$114,000 USD
  • Eligible for new hire equity grants and annual refresh grants.

Location

  • This is a remote role with flexibility to work from home, an office, or other preferred locations.
  • Candidates must be able to support West Coast business hours.
