Overview
The Tax Analyst assists with tax compliance, focusing on tax return preparation and the calculation of consolidated book-tax differences. This role also supports federal, state, city, and income, franchise, and excise tax activities, along with other tax projects such as planning and analysis as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Federal and State income tax returns.
- Prepare consolidated book-tax differences for tax compliance.
- Provide support for Federal and State audits.
- Respond to tax notices.
- Support additional tax projects as needed, which may include:
- Tax research
- Tax forecasting
- Fixed asset accounting
- State apportionment
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 years of recent corporate tax or public accounting experience.
- Experience with tax preparation software, preferably CorpTax.
- Experience with tax research software, preferably RIA or CCH.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-3 years of corporate tax, public accounting or related experience.
Location
- Primarily remote; candidates should be located within commuting distance of Phoenix, AZ.
- Occasional in-person attendance may be required for team meetings, training, or business needs.
