Tax Preparer

Overview

A remote position is available for a Tax Preparer within the Regulatory & Tax Compliance Operations team. This role involves supporting broadband and telecommunications initiatives by ensuring accurate and compliant tax preparation and filing.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze client tax and revenue data to prepare accurate tax returns.
• Prepare supporting workpapers and reconcile client ledgers with imported tax data.
• Facilitate and process state and local tax filings, both paper and online, ensuring timely payments.
• Communicate with clients throughout the tax preparation process and represent clients with relevant agencies as needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
• Process business renewal applications and exemption certifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (math degree preferred) or equivalent experience in accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other digital tools.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external clients.
• Effective prioritization and time management skills to meet tax deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with telecommunications industry tax requirements.
• Experience with tax preparation software.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $50,000 - $52,000 per year.
