Overview
A well-established accounting and advisory firm with over 40 years of experience is seeking a Tax Senior Manager. The firm serves a diverse range of industries including construction, architecture and engineering, not-for-profit, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution, financial services, and real estate. With more than 550 employees and multiple offices across the U.S. and an international presence, the organization offers opportunities for local and global client service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct Tax Seniors, Semi Seniors, Associates, and staff accountants
- Ensure assignments are completed within budgeted timeframes
- Communicate with clients regarding tax-related issues throughout the year
- Develop technical knowledge through meetings, training, industry events, and research
- Identify risk management issues and propose solutions through research and collaboration
- Conduct tax research and provide conclusions on target issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree in Taxation or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive tax preparation, review, and supervisory experience
- Construction tax experience required
- CPA license required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tax software such as ProSystems and CCH
- Technical expertise in corporate, international, federal, state, and local tax
- Solid background in corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, C Corporations, partnerships, and individual/trust taxation
- Strong tax accounting skills including US GAAP, tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns, partnership returns, and combined state tax returns
- Ability to manage staff across multiple engagements

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 depending on location and qualifications (applicable states include New York, Massachusetts, Washington DC, Colorado, and New Jersey)
