Overview

This role is for a Workday Financials Principal Consultant focused on financial management systems. You will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. The position requires technical aptitude to configure Workday to meet business requirements and design specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Become a Workday Financials expert across design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Recommend solutions aligned to client requirements, budget, and timeframe, with flexibility to adapt scope as new needs are identified.
  • Facilitate design sessions and support configuration decisions using best practices and knowledge of each client’s business requirements.
  • Engage with clients throughout all project phases to ensure a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday solution.
  • Manage multiple tasks under limited direction and keep the client, project team, and Engagement Manager informed of changes or progress.
  • Participate in update training and internal opportunities to share skills and learnings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of Workday functional implementation experience required.
  • 2–5 years of Financial software experience required.
  • 2–5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software required.
  • Proficiency with business processes including one or more of the following:
    • General ledger
    • Budgeting
    • Cash management
    • Grant management
    • Chart of accounts re-design
    • Procure-to-pay
    • Purchase order conversions
    • Expense management
    • Fixed asset management
    • Order-to-cash
  • Prior experience leading or managing teams required.
  • Report writing experience and/or Workday Financials certification, highly desired.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to customer service and customer collaboration.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to manage customer expectations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to collaborate across teams to accomplish defined goals.
  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $106,171 - $159,257 depending on experience and other qualifications.
  • Eligible for the discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of applicable plans.
