Accountant

Overview

Full-Time | Up to $48,000/year | US Remote

This role involves supporting the financial operations of a fast-growing YouTube-focused agency that partners with major brands to develop scalable content strategies. The team includes experienced YouTube strategists and content creators with a track record of billions of views and working with top industry names.

Responsibilities

• Manage client invoicing and cash receipt processing
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule
• Handle contractor payments
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
• Review and process employee expenses and reimbursements
• Maintain and reconcile records in QuickBooks Online
• Support month-end financial review and reporting
• Maintain and update financial forecasts
• Ensure accuracy of financial data across all systems
• Maintain financial systems and integrations to improve efficiency, including organizing contracts and financial documentation
• Build and maintain financial forecasts, reporting, and analysis using Google Sheets
• Ensure all financial records are properly stored, organized, and audit-ready
• Continuously improve internal financial processes and documentation standards

Requirements

• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Recent graduates with relevant accounting, bookkeeping, or internship experience are encouraged to apply
• Strong working experience with QuickBooks Online
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, including building spreadsheets for reporting or analysis
• Solid understanding of payroll and accounts payable/receivable processes
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly organized and self-directed, able to work effectively in a remote environment
• Strong communication skills and an ownership mindset
• Excited to learn quickly and grow into increasing responsibility
• Experience in advertising, agency, or professional services businesses is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and work proactively
• Interest in growing into a fully autonomous finance role within 6–12 months
