Overview
A study is being conducted to develop a new, more accurate version of O*NET, the U.S. government's framework for describing occupations and their associated tasks. This project focuses on gathering input directly from experienced accountants to improve the description of their work.
Responsibilities
- Complete a one-time online survey or interview about your day-to-day work as an accountant, which takes up to 30 minutes.
- Optionally participate in follow-up surveys, tasks, or short interviews, which will be compensated separately.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working specifically as an accountant (SOC 13-2011 — Accountants and Auditors).
- Currently based in the United States.
- Currently employed as an accountant or recently employed in the role.
- Must have held an accountant position; accounting students or individuals with only general finance experience are not eligible unless they have genuine accounting work experience.
Compensation
- Payment is proportional to the expected hourly wage for accountants, approximately $39 per hour.
- The initial task is about 30 minutes, so it pays roughly half an hour at that rate.
- Additional paid tasks may be available later.
Location
- U.S.-based participants only.
