Accountant Sr

Overview

This Senior Accountant role is part of the General Accounting department, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable activities. The position will partner with colleagues outside of General Accounting to resolve day-to-day issues. Responsibilities include month-end close duties, account reconciliations, and research-driven problem solving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close for Accounts Payable
• Month-end close for purchasing
• Monthly account reconciliations
• Research and resolve aged items, including outstanding receipts of material and outstanding payables balances
• Prepare and support monthly sales and use tax return filings and payments, including assistance with taxability questions
• Complete monthly journal entries as required
• Assist with invoice and/or purchase order issues
• Support internal, external, and government audits
• Support required system testing and implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Self-motivated; process/results oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
• Problem-solving, in-depth research, and analytical skills; detail oriented with meticulous record-keeping
• Advanced Excel skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-Time Salary Range: $75254 - $127930

Please note: This range is based on market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications including skills, education, and experience.
