Accountant (VUMC IT Budget & Accounting) - REMOTE

Overview

This role analyzes data and prepares financial statements and reports by applying accounting concepts, theories, principles, practices, and terminology, with occasional guidance. The position requires understanding and application of applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and summarize routine detailed data to prepare statistical and financial reports.
• Verify and approve proper recording of transactions.
• Evaluate transactions and recommend appropriate action when discrepancies exist; analyze the effect of transactions on account relationships.
• Complete and maintain reconciliations of transactions and accounts; prepare complex entries.
• Format, design, and prepare financial reports and schedules.
• Support additional duties as assigned.
