Accounting Specialist

Overview

Under general supervision, this role investigates, analyzes, reconciles accounting and financial information, and prepares financial statements. The position also serves as a liaison between internal departments and affiliates to help resolve outstanding issues.

Responsibilities

• Create basic journal entries and perform work paper reconciliation and analysis.
• Create new assets, run depreciation, and prepare necessary reporting.
• Monitor and approve tooling records, process invoices and mail to customers, and assist sales in resolving past due tooling records.
• Suggest process improvements for areas of responsibility.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and perform cash account analysis.
• Complete financial reporting as necessary.
• Perform intercompany account reconciliations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 0–3 years of related experience

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit primarily factual information to internal and external customers
• Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret, and reconcile information from multiple sources
• Customer service skills with a service-oriented approach to addressing and responding to customer issues
• Intermediate understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Process improvement mindset
• Intermediate system knowledge
• Ability to take ownership of financial statements

• Maintains full ownership of D-café

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary: $61,000 – $76,000
