Overview

An accounts and pricing professional is needed to join a cohort training program that supports federal contracting work within the AbilityOne Program, which is dedicated to expanding employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

After completing the program, you will transition into a role within Products or Services account teams. Assignments will be aligned with strengths and business needs, supporting ongoing account management and/or price proposal development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of the AbilityOne Program and assist with federal contracting, price development, and coordination of business operations and processes to help ensure timely delivery of quality products/services.
  • Assist nonprofit agencies (NPAs) in maintaining program and statutory compliance.
  • Support and strengthen the AbilityOne program by preserving existing contracts and/or developing product or service expansions that result in sustained increases in jobs and sales.
  • Maintain awareness of NPAs’ capabilities to support creation of new contract opportunities and related AbilityOne Program matters.
  • Provide consultation on NPA capability for proposed expansions or additions to the AbilityOne Procurement List.
  • Develop, analyze, and coordinate pricing data for Fair Market Pricing actions to support internal and external stakeholders across multiple business lines, including:
    • Custodial
    • Food Service
    • Grounds Maintenance
    • Clothing and Textiles
    • Hardware and Equipment
    • Medical and office supplies
    • Other applicable categories
  • Monitor market and Federal regulation changes that impact cost elements, ensuring NPA proposals follow established pricing policies.
  • Review pricing projects using cost estimators, market data, and other pricing indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field of study related to Account Management, Pricing, Products, and/or Contracts.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
    • Client relationship management
    • Federal government procurement
    • Federal contract administration
    • Price proposal development
    • Manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multi-functional groups to resolve customer issues, drive process improvements, and meet deliverables.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience with price analysis and developing price proposals.
  • Proficiency in developing, reviewing, and validating pricing using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to proactively update and manage critical information across multiple business systems to support operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Travel as required by business need.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and supply chain management to improve efficiency and workflows.
  • Understanding of costing/pricing of products and services and cost/price analysis principles and methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proficiency with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system used as a business application system (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems under time pressure.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $95,000 to $105,000, depending on experience and geographic location in the United States.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work model: in-office work two to three days per week and work from home for the balance of the workweek.
  • Fully remote work model may be available depending on job requirements.
