Overview
A growing sports-focused company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Accounting team. This role supports procure-to-pay operations by processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position involves working with a modern finance technology stack and requires strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable operations, including invoice intake, processing, and approval routing
- Process and reconcile corporate card transactions across platforms such as Brex and Ramp, ensuring compliance with travel and expense policies
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate billing, resolve discrepancies, and maintain updated vendor records
- Support integration of payment data across Zip, Brex, Ramp, and Sage Intacct
- Partner with business owners to onboard new vendors
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external payment inquiries
Requirements
- 1–3 years of accounts payable experience
- Hands-on experience with procure-to-pay processes
- Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of accuracy in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Critical thinking and judgment skills to navigate ambiguity, identify exceptions, and manage variable billing structures and evolving processes
- Solid understanding of accounts payable fundamentals including invoice processing, 3-way matching, payment terms, and vendor management
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Zip, Ramp, and/or Brex platforms
Compensation & Benefits
- Target hourly rate: $22 to $28 per hour, depending on skills and experience
- Remote-first work environment with expectations to gather 2-3 times per year for team and company offsites and trainings
