ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities

• Supervise Fiscal Analyst staff by assigning work, setting priorities, and monitoring performance
• Plan and oversee daily accounts payable operations, prioritizing workflows and resolving operational issues
• Establish performance expectations and conduct staff evaluations
• Serve as a subject matter expert on accounts payable processes, providing guidance on complex issues
• Collaborate with management and stakeholders to resolve financial issues and provide guidance on expenditures

Requirements

• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and implement effective solutions
• Proficiency with digital tools including Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
• Experience evaluating processes and implementing improvements for efficiency and compliance
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff in a financial or accounting environment
• Familiarity with procure-to-pay operations and financial systems within a governmental context
• Experience with statewide financial systems and process improvement initiatives
• Background supporting transaction processing system conversions or implementations
