Overview
This Accounts Receivable Specialist role supports accounts-focused receivable processes across cultural, heritage, pilgrimage, group-tour planning, reservations, suppliers, sales support, and traveler service. The work centers on accurate financial records, reconciliation, and exception handling—ensuring documentation clearly reflects the source used, what changed, what remains open, and who owns the next action.
The role also follows structured decision patterns using document review and payment tracking signals to determine whether an item can close, needs follow-up, or must move to an authorized owner.
Responsibilities
- Protect confidential account information while maintaining audit-ready, traceable records across all relevant processes.
- Review financial inputs against supporting records to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing.
- Track unresolved financial exceptions and ensure they have clear ownership.
- Maintain documentation that supports verification of work state without reconstructing history.
Role Fit / How You’ll Work
- Use approval tracking to support controlled account workflows and correct ownership.
- Apply cultural operations practices by preserving evidence, owners, and deadlines throughout the workflow.
- Document financial record decisions clearly enough for another teammate to follow the reasoning.
- Use spreadsheet analysis with sound judgment, including when escalation is needed rather than assumption.
Success Standard
Success means financial records, reconciliation, and exception handling remain accurate and usable under the demands of the end-to-end travel operations supported by this role. Over time, repeated errors should become visible, exceptions should have owners, and another authorized teammate should be able to verify the work state without rebuilding the full history.
Requirements
- Experience performing document review and approval tracking in an accounts receivable environment.
