Overview

This role involves joining a Diligence team focused on translating complex lending guidelines into programmatic review frameworks. The Analyst, Diligence is responsible for creating and maintaining automated validation systems to ensure loan portfolios meet client-specific criteria. The position requires close collaboration with engineering teams to integrate these frameworks into the core platform and support securitization initiatives. This role reports directly to the VP of Transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Transform originator underwriting guidelines into programmatic review templates using advanced Excel modeling
  • Design and maintain automated validation systems for client-specific lending criteria
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate guidelines into the platform
  • Support rated and non-rated securitization reporting initiatives
  • Create and update reports for portfolio analysis and client reviews
  • Work directly with clients to implement guideline updates and maintain accuracy

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial services or a related field
  • Expert-level Excel skills with demonstrated ability to create complex models
  • Strong analytical mindset and proven problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • A bias toward action, including the ability to push projects forward with minimal supervision and an ownership mentality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify patterns in complex datasets
  • Experience designing scalable solutions for complex problems
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for various stakeholders
  • Enthusiasm for automating manual processes into automated systems
