Overview

An organization in the healthcare sector is seeking an Analyst, Pricing and Underwriting to join their team due to growth. This role involves supporting the Pricing and Underwriting team with financial price modeling related to provider networks, manufacturer rebates, cost of risk, and client administrative fees. The analyst will assist the growth team with client proposals and perform various analyses and reporting to support critical business decisions. The position focuses on utilizing data effectively to serve clients, promote the business model, and support client growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance sales support tools for prospective clients
  • Calculate risk pricing metrics and assess value derived from client relationships
  • Identify and support implementation of opportunities to improve rebate, pricing, and discount performance through analysis
  • Research external and internal pricing trends and forecasts to inform pricing strategy
  • Maintain databases to support business decisions and client requests
  • Track and report client performance impacts of relevant programs
  • Monitor forecasted results against actual outcomes
  • Identify opportunities for client savings or program enhancements
  • Perform analyses as requested by internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop understanding of contractual terms and performance to assist in program strategies, pricing decisions, and contract language
  • Conduct quality assurance to ensure accuracy of pricing and processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in business, economics, mathematics, or actuarial science preferred
  • Relevant experience with business, statistics, and analytical programs is desired
  • Experience in pharmacy benefit management (PBM), managed care, business, statistics, or analytical programs is a plus
  • Ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues
  • Commitment to supporting compliance program objectives

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: USD $60,214.30 - $72,547.34 per year
  • STAR Bonus: Up to 5% (at risk, salaried non-management except pharmacists)

Work Schedule & Location

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Remote work available within the United States, except residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming are not eligible for remote work
