Overview
This role involves identifying, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency, data quality, and internal controls within Finance, Accounting, and Shared Services functions. The position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and IT teams to automate processes, support system integrations and data conversions, and deliver scalable reporting, workflow, and analytics solutions that promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support customer, vendor, and financial data integrations, conversions, and system migrations.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities across Finance and Accounting processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into automation solutions.
- Develop dashboards, workflows, and reporting tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Perform testing, deployment, documentation, and user training for automation solutions.
- Ensure solutions comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and governance standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for finance automation tools and reporting solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically 2-5 years of experience in a related field, or MS/MA with 2-4 years of experience.
- Demonstrated skill in data analysis techniques, resolving missing or inconsistent information.
- Ability to work independently with guidance on complex or unusual problems.
- May provide guidance or training to junior personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power Platform, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Databricks, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, ERP implementations, or data conversion projects.
- Background in automation, business systems (such as Oracle EBS), data analytics, or process improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Work Environment
- Primarily indoor office environment with occasional mild discomfort.
- Mostly seated work with frequent opportunities to move around.
- Rarely requires moving or lifting light articles.
- Overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
